⏰ Check-In Time: 7:45 PM
🏐 Balls Up: 8:15 PM (or after leagues)
Schedules will be posted online before the start of the event.
If your partner isn’t present at the start, you may pick up a sub with the opposing team's approval. However, delays will result in shorter games and the other team receiving points.
No subs are allowed during bracket play (unless an injury occurs).
⏳ Expected End Time: 1:00/2:00 AM if you make it to the finals!
💵 Entry Fee: $15 Per Person - CASH ONLY - Please make the appropriate accommodations by visiting a bank or coordinating with a friend. No Venmo/Cash app/Zelle will be accepted.
🟢 Registration Information:
40 Pairs - Sign up as a pair (any combo) to be placed on teams of 4 for each round of pool play/bracket play.
Guaranteed 3 Rounds of 1-21 in Pool Play
Format may be adjusted based on the number of sign-ups.
🎖️ Single Elimination Tournament -
There will be a single-elimination tournament after pool play that every player will make. The points played to and the match duration time will be adjusted accordingly for each round of play.
🔊 All players must report their point differentials after every match, win or lose.
🏆 Prizes: Cash Payout to 1st and 2nd of Upper, and to 1st of lower.
Any additional prizes and payouts will be determined by the number of signups.
🚫 No outside alcohol allowed in Woodlands Backyard.
🟦 Rules & Expectations
• Players may stay in set positions on the court, but must rotate servers after a side-out.
• No restrictions on who you can serve.
• Directional blocking is allowed.
• Blocks don’t count as a touch.
• Open hand receive is allowed if it is received and released without error or if it is a hard-driven attack.
• Setting over is allowed if clean and perpendicular to the body. Accidental set-overs result in a point for the other team.
• No doubles, lifting, carrying, or open-hand tips.
• No foot faults or touching the net.
• Players can cross into the other team's space if it doesn’t impede play. (pursuit )
• If there’s a dispute → Replay the point
