Improv Level 2: Intro to scenework (Q3)

ABOUT

This class will put the fundamental skills of improv to work, as you learn to build scenes, characters, and relationships. It builds on the skills learned in Level 1. This course will be taught by Josh Waddle, cast member in the improv groups The Hashtag Improv Show and Donut Sundae.

The course meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm for a total of six class sessions. Classses will take place in our Hashtag Comedy Club (1253 N. High Street).

Students will perform in an improv showcase after the classes are completed. There will be no class on July 3rd. The showcase for this course will take place Aug 7th from 8:00pm-9:00pm in our Hashtag Comedy Club (1253 N. High Street).

In addition to classes and a showcase, students will also receive a complimentary ticket to a Hashtag Comedy show.

IMPORTANT INFO

• Students must have completed Level 1 in our curriculum. If you are have other improv experience outside of our program, email Katie, our Director of Curriculum, (Y2xhc3NlcyB8IGhhc2h0YWdjb21lZHljb2x1bWJ1cyAhIGNvbQ==) for permission to enroll.
• Please enroll at least a week before the class begins. Courses that do not meet the instructor-set course minimum by the week before the start date may be at risk of cancellation. Please email our Director of Curriculum if you intend to enroll but cannot until the days before the course begins.
• If the course is cancelled, tuition will be refunded.
• Students must attend at least 4 of the 6 classes in order to perform in the showcase and graduate from this level.
• PARKING: Students may park in the back of the Hashtag Theater space when spots are available. Free parking validation for said lot is available inside the theater, but students are responsible for validating their own parking.
