We will be doing a canned food drive in tandem with our weekly meeting for Our Common Goods Initiative. The Democratic Party has graciously let us use their headquarters for our food pantry to help restock the blessing boxes in town, so feel free to bring your donations to the headquarters for us to easily stock our pantry!
Please join us for our meeting if you want to volunteer, learn more about what we are doing and the locations around town, if you have questions, or feel free to just stop by to drop off donations! This will be after our meeting with the city, and after the canned food drive at Brown’s Brazilian Joy Jitsu, so we are excited share updates with you!
Items that are desperately needed:
-canned chicken and tuna
-crackers
-ramen and cup noodles
-easy grab chips and snack food
-canned and non-perishable goods (preferably with pull tabs, but any are able to be donated!)
-canned soup
-peanut butter and jelly
-bread
-rice
-powdered milk
-powdered eggs
-baby food and formula
These boxes are out in the weather, so please be mindful of items that won’t last long, but we have noticed items are grabbed pretty quickly. Thank you all for helping out!
