Do you love trees, too?
Join the St. Clair County Parks staff to explore the trees of the rustic and rolling Columbus County Park on Saturday, February 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Meet in front of the Lodge.
Learn to use your senses to identify trees and plants in winter, discuss how to care for trees and shrubs this time of year, and bring awareness to the threats that local forests face. Discover what trees can tell us about a landscape and share your own stories of trees and forests. This is a great way for nature lovers, children and families to celebrate Valentine’s Day – with trees! We hope you’ll join us for some fun in the forest!
Enjoy warming up with hot cocoa and cookies by the fire after the hike. All are welcome at this free and family-friendly event. Pre-registration is recommended, contact Kirsten Lyons,
