Your Fall Garden: From Pollinators to Produce
Tour our Nourishing Garden hear from experts on late summer/early fall garden topics and supporting native bees with pollinator plants.

About this Event


Meet in the Nourishing Gardens Demonstration Garden at Freetown Farm for a tour with Gary Pilarchik (The Rusted Garden), to get up close and personal with topics such as terminating summer crops, planting cool-season crops, and addressing pests such as the Mexican Bean Beetle.



Following the tour, enjoy a talk by Francis Mullan (Lauren's Garden Service) on supporting native bees with pollinator plants. A limited number of plants will be available for sale following the talk.



Participants will receive CEI's tips and tasks list for the month of October and information on upcoming local events.




This event is part of "Nourishing Gardens: Through the Seasons" a year-long series of monthly workshops hosted by CEI professionals as well as community partners, monthly tips and tasks, and personalized garden support. Topics focus on what you can do in your garden, or for your garden, in each month of the year. You will receive support and encouragement while you learn gardening techniques and timelines, and share your gardening triumphs and fails!
