Pacific Northwest native Ryan Stevenson spent eight years as a paramedic before signing with Gotee Records in 2013, after co-writing the GRAMMY®-nominated TobyMac hit “Speak Life.” His debut EP Holding Nothing Back was followed by the 2015 full-length album Fresh Start, featuring his breakout single “Eye of the Storm.”
The RIAA Gold®-certified song spent 16 weeks at No. 1 in 2016, topping both Billboard’s Christian Airplay and Christian AC charts, and later earned a Dove Award for Christian Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year, along with Billboard Music and K-LOVE Fan Award nominations.
With five No. 1 singles, a Dove Award, GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award nominations, ASCAP honors, and national tours with TobyMac, MercyMe, and Newsboys, Stevenson has become known for his honest songwriting and heartfelt performances.
In 2020, he released his first book, Eye of the Storm: Experiencing God When You Can’t See Him (Harvest House), praised by The Shack author Paul Young for its authenticity and truth-telling.
