The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, along with our partners, invites you to a Hunting 101 class at Yanahli Park in Maury County on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Whether you’re brand new to the outdoors or just want to sharpen your skills, this class is designed to give you a strong foundation in whitetail deer hunting.
What You’ll Learn:
- Shooting with scoped pellet rifles
- Archery basics
- Treestands & treestand safety
- Understanding Wildlife Management Areas
- Woodsmanship: identifying deer sign & food sources
- Essential hunting equipment
- Blood trailing techniques
What to Wear: Pants and boots or closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops, please).
Who Can Attend: Open to ages 10 and up.
