Cheeks Bend Bluff Hike

Meet at the parking area on Cheeks Bend Rd, Columbia Tn
Look for The Natural Area Sign past the parking area

This SNA is the only one in the Duck River Complex with a public trail. It's about 2 miles, rated moderate. Our hike leader will be Like Mahrenholz, Stewardship Ecologist for the TN Natural Areas Program. The hike provides bluff overlooks of the Duck River, cedar glade habitat, mature forest, and a cave. When driving to the parking area, please continue on Cheeks Bend Rd to the natural area sign even if your GPS says you've arrived.

As with all our outings, please wear appropriate footwear for possible creek crossings, and wetlands. We recommend a walking stick, water and lunch/snacks, and bug repellent.
