Hey all! I’m Megan and I’m really excited to introduce you to Mindful Movement. After practicing yoga for 20 years, I have come to appreciate the profound impact it can have on our lives, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. Throughout my journey, I have faced challenges with chronic illness, which has both presented limitations to my physical practice and opened doors to a deepened mental practice. It has taught me the power of self-compassion, love, and connection, and these values are at the core of my teaching philosophy.
In this class, we will be practicing gentle yoga with many modifications for all types of bodies. My intention is to create a space where you can explore and cultivate self-compassion. I believe that by learning to approach ourselves with kindness and understanding on the mat, we can carry those qualities off the mat and into our daily lives. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, embracing our bodies' unique abilities and limitations, and honoring our personal experiences. We will practice listening to our body, trusting our instincts, and how to embrace the present moment without judgment.
Let's create a supportive and nurturing environment where we can learn from one another, build connections, and grow together. I am here to guide you through this practice, and I invite you to join me in this exploration of self-compassion, love, and connection. I am truly excited to be a part of your yoga journey.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and bring a yoga mat. If you don’t, no worries, we will have what you need available to borrow.
