Join us for a structured pack walk followed by a free educational demo on nail trim stress and handling.
Many dogs struggle with nail trims because they’re already over-aroused, stressed, or unclear on expectations. This event starts with a calm, structured walk to help dogs settle mentally and physically, then transitions into a live demo breaking down what dogs are really communicating during grooming and how proper handling changes everything.
This is not about forcing compliance — it’s about understanding behavior, building trust, and creating calmer dogs.
PACK WALK RULES (AND WHY THEY MATTER):
1. No harnesses — flat collar or slip leash only
Harnesses promote pulling and remove clear communication. We want calm, controlled movement.
2. No face-to-face dog greetings
Neutral walking prevents tension, reactivity, and over-arousal.
3. Loose leash walking only
Tight leashes increase stress. Loose leashes encourage calm, focus, and better learning.
4. Bring a treat pouch & your dog’s favorite toy
Rewards help reinforce calm behavior and engagement during both the walk and demo.
5. Exercise and allow your dog to potty BEFORE arrival
A fulfilled dog can focus and remain calm throughout the event.
DEMO FOCUS:
• Why dogs resist nail trims
• Stress signals most owners miss
• The difference between avoidance, warnings, and shutdown
• How bites happen when communication is ignored
• How conditioning and handling create cooperative grooming
