TEXAS HUNTER CERTIFICATION COURSE

Did you know hunters age 9 and older must successfully complete a Texas Hunter Education Certification Course to legally hunt in Texas? The Gary Halter Nature Center will offer a course on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent.

The cost is $15 per person, and registration ends Aug. 22. Spots are limited. On the day of the class, participants must pay an additional $5 in cash to Texas Parks and Wildlife to cover the certification cost.
