Rachel Hicks was diagnosed with breast cancer on August 15, 2025. It has been determined that it is invasive Ductal Carcinoma and is triple positive. With that diagnosis, she is to complete 6 rounds of chemo and target therapy every 21 days (about 5 months), then surgery, then radiation. After the treatments end, she will continue to take medication and be monitored for at least 5 years since it is an aggressive and hormone-driven cancer. But, on the bright side - it is highly treatable, with incredible advancement for this type in the last 5-10 years!
With all that to be said, Rachel and her husband Richard are going to need prayers, first and foremost, but also our help to maintain their stability at home with adding medical costs and life that does not stop for cancer. So, we are here to SAVE SECOND BASE and fight for Rachel!
January 31, 2026 at Four Downs Sports Bar we are hosting a benefit to better assist them financially, show our girl some major love and help her strike out breast cancer!
