Join us for Day at Play – Conservation Activities at Millican Reserve and discover how fun and fascinating the natural world can be! This free, family-friendly morning is all about connecting with nature through interactive learning and hands-on experiences that celebrate conservation and the wildlife that call Millican home.
Featured stations may include:
- Sensory Nature Table: Engage your senses with feathers, bark, seed pods, bones, and other natural items found at Millican Reserve.
- Touch & Tell: Explore a show-and-tell display of bones, feathers, skulls, and snake skins collected on-site. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and share fun facts.
- DIY Bird Feeder Station: Make your own simple bird feeder using natural and upcycled materials to take home and hang near a window.
- Habitat Match Game: A self-guided matching activity where kids learn about native species and their ideal habitats.
- Animal Tracks Station: Use stamps or molds to compare animal tracks and learn how to spot them on trails.
Come meet, touch, build, and explore—all while learning how you can help protect the natural world around you.
