Join us for a dynamic, hands-on workshop designed to build confidence in power wheelchair prescription. This workshop is a must-attend for clinicians prescribing power wheelchairs.

We’ll cover practical tips and tricks for the assessment process, what information to gather, and how to communicate it effectively with suppliers to ensure successful and efficient prescriptions. You’ll also explore power seat functions, power assist devices, and access and control methods.

The day will conclude with hands-on skill building, including programming adjustments and making simple but effective modifications to postural supports on power wheelchairs.

SPECIAL GUEST PRESENTERS:

Amy Bjornson, Clinical Director of Sunrise Medical and Aaron Taylor of Magic Mobility will lead the workshop.

Amy Bjornson trained as a Physical Therapist in the United States. Amy has over 20 years’ experience working with the adult and pediatric neurologic populations, with specialties in the treatment of spinal cord injury, and evaluation and provision of assistive technology for clients with physical challenges. She was the director of the Seating and Mobility Clinic in Boston, MA, USA and provided consultation services to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

Based in Sydney, Amy currently develops and implements national and international training programs on using Assistive Technology to enhance inclusion, health and well-being in those with physical disabilities. She also serves a marketing and product management role for Sunrise Medical Australia.

Aaron Taylor has worked with Magic Mobility for the past 6 years in various roles, such as Inside Sales Support, where Aaron provided support to our agent network with technical expertise, hands-on training and onboarding, as well as assisting our dealers to tailor solutions to meet the needs of our end users.Aaron also has expertise working within a client-facing role as a Magic Mobility Equipment Specialist, helping to assess and provide mobility and seating solutions. As a result, Aaron has extensive knowledge of the Magic Mobility range of powered chairs, enabling him to provide technical insights to ensure that the equipment issued is fit for purpose, allowing our clients to meet their clinical and functional goals.
