James Hunt will tell us about his diving adventures with the ss President Coolidge. In James' words: Espirtu Santo is famous the world over as a diving destination. One of the reasons for this is the wreck of The SS President Coolidge. It is said that this is the largest, most accessible wreck in the world and has been coined as “the world’s greatest shore dive”.

The Coolidge, carrying 5,000 troops, struck a friendly seamine while making its way to the port of Luganville. Thankfully the captain was able to beach the vessel and unload all 5,000 troops before she sank, with only the loss of two lives.

This is a stunning but eerie dive site as you work your way between the deck and cargo holds.
