Who’s keen to get bogged… on purpose? 🚙💨
Off the back of today’s chat about winch and snatch recoveries, we’re locking in a date to get together and have a bit of fun while learning a thing or two.

Big shout out to @automax for throwing some extra recovery gear our way – saves me from chewing through my own kit before we even get stuck for real. Bloody handy!
Minimum kit to bring along:
• Snatch strap
• Tree protector
• A few shackles (the more the better)
• Rope dampener
If you’ve got recovery boards or a working winch, bring them too – but not a must.
Conversation topics will include:
• Tyre pressures, compressors and deflators
• Rated recovery points and where/why they matter
• Different bits of recovery gear and how to use them safely
• Handy extras people carry in their rigs
We’ll kick off with a bit of theory at ARB to cover the basics, then head out to the beach and a few nearby spots to put it all into practice. Nothing like learning by actually getting stuck and working it out together.
And don’t stress if you’re a bit light on gear, there’ll be chances on the day to pick up what you need from ARB. Good excuse to add to the kit bag anyway.
This day’s open to everyone – whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been around recoveries a while. Invite your mates, as long as they’re keen to learn or happy to share their experience, they’ll fit right in.
Bring your own food and drinks if you’re keen for a barbie after, and flick the invite to your mates. The more the merrier.
Because let’s be honest – it’s better to learn in the car park (and the sand) than three hours into the bush with no red frogs and Coke left.
