About the Show
This Tony Award–winning musical comedy is a hilarious and heartfelt look at the pressure and joy of competition. Six quirky adolescents compete in a local spelling bee, run by equally quirky adults, where personalities clash, friendships form, and hearts are opened. With improvisation and audience participation, every performance is slightly different—making it a wild and unforgettable ride!
(All roles sing except VP Branch. Auditioners must be ages 18–30, except Rona Lisa Peretti and Vice Principal Panch, who may be cast older. Diverse casting encouraged.)
