Homecoming: The Fire We Inherit is a powerful, immersive group exhibition featuring works by Former Artists-in-Residence Wyn X’ion, Will North, Randy Wrosiv Palmer, and Melisa Aytenfisu, curated by Allison Retina Stewart-Creeks.
Rooted in memory, lineage, and the emotional architecture of home, the exhibition explores what is passed down, what is preserved, and what we carry forward across generations. Through portraiture, abstraction, fashion, and object-based works, Homecoming invites viewers into intimate, lived-in spaces where personal history and collective memory intersect.
The exhibition unfolds as a journey: offering a return to self, to ancestry, and to belonging. Visitors are encouraged to slow down and engage with memory as something tactile and present, encountering works that reflect resilience, transformation, and the quiet power of creative inheritance.
Homecoming: The Fire We Inherit is both a gathering and a reckoning. An honoring of the fire shaped by care, culture, & creativity and a meditation on what we choose to carry with us into the future.
