The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College extension programs Bimaaji’idiwin and 13 Moons Programs in partnership with Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is hosting Indigenous Food Gathering and Bimaaji’idiwin Garden Feast that brings together community members along with representatives of state, federal, and Tribal organizations, and other programs to promote fresh, local, and culturally relevant foods as a way to support community health and provide education on Native agriculture and food sovereignty. We would like to invite you to talk about your program that provides opportunities for community members to be able to grow food, or that promotes healthy, nutritious food accessibility. In addition, representatives will learn about Anishinaabe cultural traditions, language, and best practices of taking care of the land and community directly from community members.
