Cooking Around the World from the Library Kitchen: Making Kimchi

Join our Adult Services Librarian, Keiko, in learning how to make Napa Cabbage Kimchi. We will begin the process of fermentation, and you will bring it home to continue the fermentation. Please bring your jar (8-16 oz).

Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish made of fermented vegetables, commonly napa cabbage and Korean radish, with a variety of seasonings. It's known for its spicy, sour, and umami flavors. Studies suggest that Kimchi is rich in probiotics, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, which can contribute to gut health and overall well-being.
