Author's Visit with Lisa Bergstrom

Please join a Cloquet native author, Lisa Bergstrom, to celebrate her newly published title, Small But Mighty.

What's it like to set a goal so high that most people would deem impossible? Then to be continually knocked down while working towards that dream. Follow the story of Lisa's fierce determination to accomplish that dream, of becoming an IRONMAN, fighting against her own body for two years. Take a peek into her early life and discover how she developed the determination and discipline to finally cross that finish line of an IRONMAN triathlon.

Lisa was born and raised in Cloquet and graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in 1997. She left Minnesota for Yuma, Arizona, for her first teaching job, and returned to Minnesota five years later, where she met her husband, Joe. They eventually relocated to Houston, Texas, just in time for Hurricane Harvey. She discovered how running helped with anxieties and stresses, got the idea to try a triathlon, and the seed bloomed from there.
