'Spooky biodiversity' workshop for children for ages 7-12

Curious about nature and biodiversity? Want to find out how dead creatures are never really dead?

Diarmuid Hayes of Biodiversity in Schools will be hosting a 3-hour 'Spooky Biodiversity' workshop for children at Myross House & Woods, for ages 7-12.

We will learn about familiar Irish species of plants and animals, including many 'bugs', and how the changing seasons affect wildlife.

Children will also get up close and personal with the natural creatures associated with decay and death - that ultimately allow for new life!

We will also be making or finding our own natural Halloween decorations in the outdoors - while being respectful and conscious of the other living things in nature too.

Please bring wellies and raincoats, just in case!

Tickets are free with a €5 booking fee, thanks to the funding we are receiving from NPWS under the Peatlands and Natura Community Engagement Scheme.
