Traditionally, Autumn is the best time to plant…
From shrubs for winter interest to perennials for height, colour and to fill any gaps. It’s also the best time to get your spring bulbs in the ground or into your chosen containers. The soil is warm and moist to promote healthy roots, helping them to establish before dormancy. Anything planted in Autumn will have a super start and may be double in size next year!
Autumn is also a time to get lots of garden jobs done, wrapping up a (hopefully) successful summer, and preparing for the winter ahead.
In this informative talk, John will go into much detail about what needs to be done and planted at this time of year in the garden. Full details can be found on our event page.
