Winter is a challenging time for residents of Virginia. This can be especially true for farmers, growers, livestock, and pets who often must deal directly with the wild, short-term fluctuations that this season brings.
Regardless of how bad conditions become those whose living depends on working outdoors, or traveling from point A to B, must deal with whatever Mother Nature conjures up.
From the Atlantic Ocean to the Cumberland Mountains, Virginia is characterized by diverse landscapes that each possess distinctly different winter concerns.
The workshop will give you a much better understanding of winter, with both short-term (weather) and long-term (climate) conditions and trends discussed to help you plan and prepare in advance for anything that develops.
An open question and answer session will invite those attending to ask anything of interest to them.
