It's hard to believe, but we're down to our final five rides of the season. It's been a great year of rides, with the largest average attendance we've ever seen here in Cleveland for Slow Roll, and if you haven't come out to a ride yet in 2025, now's the time.
And that time starts Monday in downtown's historic Public Square, our first visit here since June of last year. Downtown rides mean we can expect to see plenty of sights in and around our city's core.
We will gather on the north side of the square again for this one, as we typically do when we ride out of Public Square. Due to the difficulty of loading and unloading, we will not be setting up our booth for this one, so just look for squad members and folks with bikes near Rockwell and Ontario.
We once again urge you to light your bikes up for the remaining rides of 2025, as we'll soon be riding mostly in darkness and more visibility = more safety for all of us. Also, it just looks cool.
As for the rest, you know the drill: keep music at a respectable volume and keep the vibes chill with no explicit content; also no smoking or drinking during rides: this is a family friendly event. If we determine you're riding unsafely or irresponsibly we WILL ask you to stop.
Additionally, we remind you that while ebikes are permitted, use of your throttle is not. USE YOUR LEGS TO PEDAL. You can keep your assist on in its lowest setting, but most of you don't need a throttle to keep up with a ride that tops out at ten miles per hour. If you're having trouble maintaining pace at any point, just notify a squad member and we'll escort you to the front of the ride, where it's easier to stay connected.
