Christmas Pottery Workshop! Create your own Xmas Pudding tea light.

Workshop: Christmas Pudding Tealight
Saturday 15th November, 1–3pm

Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers for a festive afternoon of clay and creativity.

In this class you’ll create your very own Christmas Pudding Tealight. You’ll be given a pre-made, leather-hard dome of white clay as your starting point, ready to build upon. Guided by artist Carys Martin, you’ll explore a range of surface decoration techniques including underglazes and tissue transfers to bring your pudding to life with colour and detail.

Let your imagination run wild-create a tiny village atop your pudding, adorn it with holly leaves, or even shape a little snow scene complete with snowmen. Each piece will be unique, a festive treasure that reflects your own creativity.

Once your design is complete, Carys will carefully dry your piece before its first firing, then clear glaze and fire it a second time. Your finished tealight will be ready to collect from the studio in 2–3 weeks-just in time to add some handmade warmth and light to your Christmas table.
