Hallie B. Durchslag, Ph.D., LISW-S, is leading a book study on 4 consecutive Saturday mornings. The dates are September 20 & 27 and October 4 & 11 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Space in this class is limited. Please register promptly.
We’ll read Jung and Aging: Possibilities and Potentials for the Second Half of Life (Chiron Publications) and discuss what aging might mean in our individual stories. Attendees, please purchase the book well in advance.
As is often the case within a Jungian perspective, growth can follow closely on the heels of loss; and new beginnings often depend on endings, planned or unplanned. This series will look to aspects of meaning-making amidst changing expectations in physical, professional, familial, or spiritual life. Selected essays will serve as points of departure for inward reflection, didactic learning about essay content, and shared experience within the group setting.
The CEU objectives of this study are:
Define aging from a Jungian Perspective
Define spirituality as it relates to aging from a Jungian perspective
Identify tools for meaning-making in second half of life
Identify how the Jungian perspective addresses both psychological and physical changes as people age
