Page versus Stage, it really doesn’t matter. A great poem is one that repays both the reader and the listener, with each medium giving something extra, something different.

Are your poems stuck in washday grey? Want your words to be in glorious technicolour? Want to know how to create poems in ‘Surround Sound’? Isabel White has come to the rescue. She will take you on a journey through the joys and complexities of Alliteration, Idiom, Irony, Metaphor, Onomatopoeia, Proverb, Rhyme, Rhythm, Simile, … how to embrace dialect and slang…, and the importance of the Payoff (the last line). All these tools to make your poetry really sing or fly off the page; poems that you can taste, feel or smell, with language described by Ian MacMillan as ‘chewy’.
