Sunflower Splendour Photography Workshop

Learn to create beautiful photos of sunflowers in the golden light of evening and under the night sky. You will also be able to pick a bouquet of sunnies to take home!

We will be exploring the beautiful sunflower gardens with many unique varities and colours at Little Farm on Wall Street, only 15 minutes from Sylvan Lake. The workshop will include hands-on practice in the field with individualized guidance to help you create stunning images. As night descends, we will move indoors for classroom instruction and preparation for night shooting. We will then capture the sunflowers and other objects and relics under the night sky. This could include the Milky Way, Aurora, or storm clouds depending on the conditions.

Techniques we may cover and practice:

• bokeh
• starburst effect
• depth of field
• directional lighting
• exposure compensation
• shooting through technique
• manual mode and night settings
• light techniques

Recommendation: All levels of photographers are welcome, however a beginner photography class or basic knowledge of camera settings is helpful.

Equipment: camera, lenses, tripod
