Please join us for our first seed swap!
We have opened our seed library last month with a bunch of donated vegetable seeds. They have been repackaged into smaller quantities to share the wealth. There will be free seeds to take even if you don't bring anything to swap.
Some guidelines that will help us have a great seed swap:
If you bring seeds, please label the seeds with a name, a date collected, and any other growing tips you think would be helpful.
Please don't bring any invasive species. This is to promote our native cultivars in our ecosystem whenever possible.
The more you know about the seeds the better. Be ready to show off the grown plant pictures like a proud plant parent. We love to see it and hear it.
We will be outdoors. Wind and weather may make it difficult to sort seeds. We will have repackaging materials on site if you need to split bigger amounts of seeds. It might be easier to divide seeds before the swap.
Please communicate with us before the swap if you have any helpful suggestions or past experiences with seed swaps. We are open to learning what works best to make it a meaningful and useful community building event. Feel free to share and invite others.
