🍂 Friends of Johnston County Parks Fall Hiking Challenge – Group Hike at Clemmons State Educational Forest 🍂

Join the Friends of Johnston County Parks for a group hike to kick-off the 2025 JoCo Fall Hiking Challenge!
We’ll start with the Talking Tree Trail (0.6 miles) – a well-maintained trail of packed dirt and gravel, perfect for all skill levels. 🌳✨
👉 After the group hike, hikers who want a little more adventure can continue on their own to the Talking Rocks Trail (0.8 miles). This optional hike is also part of the Fall Hiking Challenge but will not be group-led.
Meeting Spot: Please gather at the picnic shelter before the hike (signage will be in place).
🍂 Lace up your shoes, bring some water, and come enjoy the crisp fall air with us. Let’s hit the trail together!

Explore Johnston County this fall and complete hikes at beautiful parks, preserves, and historic sites for a chance to win door prizes! The challenge runs October 1 – December 31, 2025 – the perfect season to enjoy the outdoors.

*Flower Hill Trail – Flower Hill Nature Preserve (1 mi)
*Clayton Riverwalk on the Neuse – Clayton (4 mi)
*Talking Tree Trail – Clemmons State Educational Forest (0.6 mi)
*Talking Rocks Trail – Clemmons State Educational Forest (0.8 mi)
