About the event

Civic Readiness for All: Building a Statewide Plan for Missouri Schools
Join us for an evening focused on ensuring every student in Missouri receives high-quality civic education. This event will feature a dynamic panel discussion including students, K–12 educators, higher education leaders, and community voices working together to shape a shared vision for civic readiness. Attendees will explore current challenges, gain a deeper understanding of promising practices, and contribute to the development of a comprehensive statewide plan that prepares all students to engage thoughtfully in their communities and democracy.

Reservations are highly encouraged but not required.

Schedule
4–5pm | Networking and happy hour
5:00–6:15pm | Keynote presentation and panel discussion
6:15–7:30pm | Reception and community conversations
Complimentary light snacks and drinks will be available during the happy hour and reception.

Panel Moderator: Peter Kastor, Professor of History and Associate Vice Dean for Research at Washington University and Chair of the Missouri Historical Society Board of Trustees

Panelist: Juliette Mueller, Student at Webster Groves High School
