Chef Kawakubo x Akar Clayton — One Night Only OMAKASE Takeover

Fresh from his appearance at Snow Peak’s Camp Out event in Hermann, Missouri (October 10), Chef Kawakubo will bring his refined artistry and contemporary interpretation of Chinese cuisine to St. Louis — blending Japanese precision, seasonal ingredients, and global inspiration in a one-night-only Omakase experience.

Chef Kawakubo, owner of Khaos in Fukuoka, Japan, is celebrated for transforming traditional Chinese flavors into elegant, modern dishes with a distinct Japanese flair. This special multi-course tasting menu will highlight Missouri’s fall bounty while showcasing Chef Kawakubo’s creative approach and Akar’s dedication to cross-cultural culinary craftsmanship.

Guests will enjoy a rare dining experience that bridges continents — where Fukuoka’s cutting-edge fine dining meets the warm, local spirit of Akar.

During his Missouri visit, Chef Kawakubo will also be featured at Snow Peak’s Camp Out at Hermann Farm, sharing Fukuoka’s beloved Mizutaki and the Japanese outdoor classics Yakitori and Kushiage.
