💎 Johnson County 4-H Rockhounds Club | 2026 💎
Welcome to the Johnson County 4-H Rockhounds Club! This hands-on club is for curious kids who love rocks, science, and discovering the stories hidden beneath their feet.
For 2026, our theme is Arkansas Diamonds. Members will explore rocks and geology found right here in Arkansas, learn how diamonds are formed, and build real geology skills through age-appropriate activities, discussions, and experiments alongside other kids who share their curiosity.
🪨 Who can join?
Our lessons are designed with ages 8–12 in mind, but all youth are welcome. No prior experience required, just a willingness to learn and get a little dusty. There is no cost to join.
📅 When we meet:
We meet monthly from January through June.
🏕️ Field Trip Highlight:
In April or May, the club will take a special field trip to the Arkansas Crater of Diamonds State Park, planned as a camping trip for families who want to participate. This will be a hands-on, unforgettable learning experience tied directly to our year’s theme.
Whether your child dreams of finding a diamond, loves collecting rocks, or just wants to learn more about Arkansas geology, the Rockhounds Club is a fun place to learn, explore, and make new friends.
Join us and let’s dig in. 💎🪨
