Urban Labor in Alfredo Ramos Martínez’s 1932 Mural Sketches

We will visit the exhibition "Pintor de Poemas: Unseen Works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez." Assistant Professor of Art History at Pomona College, Dr. Rosalia Romero will examine how four recently discovered drawings by the artist reflect a shift in Mexican art from images of agricultural labor to depictions of industrial workers. Tea will follow in the Margaret Fowler Memorial Garden.
