Oyster Mushroom bucket cultivation workshop
Learn how to grow your own oyster mushrooms in buckets! We will start with a discussion on sourcing spawn and substrate, explore substrate pasteurization methods for a low-tek mushroom grow operation, then each participant will inoculate a bucket of their own. Take home instructions for spawn run and harvest will be provided. Your bucket should be ready to harvest in 3-5 weeks!
All ages and experience levels welcome, though please note there will be some use of power tools and a propane heater during the workshop
Location: 379 Jarvis Hill Rd
Date: Saturday August 30th 10-11:30 am
Cost/participant: $40. Includes all supplies. Each participant will go home with a bucket that will produce 1-2lbs of oyster mushrooms if kept in optimal conditions.
Refund policy: a refund is available up to 7 days before the start of this event. Please note that eventbrite does not refund ticket fees (~7% of the ticket price).
Instead of the refund minus eventbrite fees we can offer a credit equal to your ticket price towards any other class or event at Dancing Bear Farm.
