All About Backyard Pigs: Workshop + Farm Experience

Join us at the farm for a fun and hands-on workshop all about backyard pigs! Whether you're thinking about adding pigs to your homestead or just curious, this event is perfect for you. Our family has been raising pigs since 2011 and started with a pen our backyard in the city on just 2/3 of an acre. In 2021 we decided to move to a bigger homestead and never imagined we'd live on a 140+ acre farm and raise beef, pork, lamb, chicken, duck, turkey, and eggs to sell plus sell American Mulefoot Hog piglets. Here at True Cut Ranch our pigs are raised on pasture with electric wire. We breed and farrow here at the farm.

• Pasture / forest management with pigs

• Farrowing and breeding
• Getting pigs on a trailer
• Working with a processor, cut sheets, and storing your meat at home

Info: Inside the farm store Melissa will answer all your questions about working with butchers, deciding on cut sheet options, and how to safely store your meat. Also, Fred will be available to answer any further questions you didn't ask in the field.
