Step into the colourful world of Mary Delany and collage
Step into the colourful world of Mary Delany – an 18th-century woman who didn’t start her amazing paper flower art until she was 72 years old! Using tiny pieces of coloured paper, Mary created stunning flowers so realistic that even her friends thought they were real. Now it’s your turn! Join us for a fun and hands-on collaging activity where families can cut, stick, and create their own paper blooms, just like Mary did over 200 years ago.
We’ll provide all the materials – you bring the creativity. While you snip and stick, you’ll also discover a little more about Mary’s fascinating life, her love of nature, and how she turned everyday paper into a masterpiece. Perfect for all ages, this is a great way to get crafty, learn a bit of history, and leave with your own handmade collage to take home!
No booking necessary and all materials are provided. All ages and abilities welcome. A perfect mix of craft, nature and history for all ages and skill levels! Children under 8 may need some parental guidance (children accompanied by an adult please)
