Welcome to The Great Global Mend Collaborative! 🧵🧶
Come join the City of Stirling and the City of Wanneroo at the Girrawheen Hub for a day of mending, sewing, and patching! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn new skills or share their expertise.
Connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about reducing waste and embracing eco-friendly practices. Bring along your favorite textile items (clothes, bags, pillows or teddy) that need a little TLC, and let's work together to repair and revitalize them!
Doors open at 10.00am but feel free to drop in at any time.
Schedule
🪡 10.00am - 11.00am: Skill development and connection time
🪡 11.00am: The unofficial world record attempt for most people mending at once
🪡 11.00am - 12.00 noon: Chat, mend and solve the worlds
problems over a cuppa.
Light morning tea and tea/coffee provided free for participants. Please bring your keep cup.
A mini clothes swap will also be running through out so bring the quality items you no longer wear and swap them for something new to you. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of a global movement towards a more sustainable future.
In partnership with FabPatch, who are kindly donating patches for the event, and in collaboration with the Circular Fashion Festival.
