Music Makers & Art Shakers: Art workshop for kids

MUSIC-THEMED ART WORKSHOP FOR KIDS
AGES 5+ [5-6 year olds must be accompanied by an adult)

Get ready to make some art! Music Makers & Art Shakers is a fun, hands-on workshop where kids will create music-themed artworks using techniques of collograph printing and collage. Inspired by rhythm, sound, and jazz vibes, young artists will cut, stick and stamp their way through a joyful mix of creativity and music.

We’ll be looking at a collage artist called Romare Bearden who was inspired by the blues and jazz in New York in the 50s & 60s!

For our younger artists (ages 5–6), a grown-up must stay to share in the fun. Children aged 7+ are welcome to stay independently while parents enjoy the live jazz performances happening in nearby Scarborough venues.
