Unshakeable Hope

We’re all hoping for something. Nice weather, no traffic, that job, or that relationship. Maybe you’re hoping for something good to come—maybe you’re hoping for something bad to go away.

We all know what it’s like to be let down, to feel hopes slip through our fingers, for promises to be broken. We long for health, happiness, and relational harmony, but so often we just have to wait and see where our lives will go. Hope is good—it’s exciting, comforting, motivating—but in our uncertain world, our hopes are built on shaking things that so often lead to disappointment. And even when things go our way, it won’t last forever.
