FREE SWING DANCE TASTER CLASS
Hey dancers and yet-to-be dancers - in a couple of weeks its going to be time for our next free taster class, running just after the Big Band Festival we are hoping to welcome lots of new friends to join after getting a taste of what we do at the Festival.
Come along and bring your friends, for a free no obligations taster class in Lindy Hop from the always wonderful Jess and Pete.
For those who don't know what Lindy Hop is, it's a fun partner dancing style created by Black American dancers in the swing era of the 1930s and 1940s which has spread all over the world. Danced by people of all ages, genders and backgrounds, today it's an excellent dance to have fun, stay fit, enjoy awesome music, learn about another culture, and meet a great group of like minded people. A very social dance, it is characterised by fun rhythms, partner connection and improvisation/social dancing.
No partner or prior dance experience necessary, we rotate partners during class to help everyone learn faster.

SOCIAL DANCING
Following the taster class (and every week after classes) we have a social dancing evening - a chance to have some fun, try out your new moves, watch some great dancing, and meet some fun people from our dance community. Everyone welcome to come along no matter your level - warning, you may catch the lindy hop bug there and never wanna leave..
