Natural Textured Rings - Summer Workshop

Make your own personalised ring - a gift for yourself or someone special! :-)

Learn the basic technique first in copper or brass, and then craft your final piece in silver!

Over this taster class, you’ll be guided through the process of heating and texturing metal, cutting and shaping with traditional jewellery tools. Use feathers, leaves, or fabrics to create a unique texture for a beautiful ring!

Learn to measure your finger, cut metal to length and texture it without rolling mill, hammers and punches. Then use a jewellers torch, sandpaper and polishing, and your beautiful new ring will be ready to wear.

This 3-hour class is ideal for beginners, groups of friends and visitors to the city.

Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, a sterling silver ring strip and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.

Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.

Workshop fee is $165, Early bird pricing $148 (ends 1 February).
