NH Myco-Camp 2025!
We're thrilled to announce our 4th year, and the 2nd at our new venue, The World Fellowship Center, in Albany, NH! It is cozy and inviting and provides the perfect environment for bonding and nerding out over mushrooms, while also having lots of nooks to hide away for reading or puzzles or just quiet time.
We have lots of sleeping options from private to shared rooms that are rustic, regular, or modern, all in the main lodge, to bunk house or camping. There is a huge kitchen for our chef, and a huge dining area with a wrap around porch in the main lodge. There is a separate meeting and presentation room where we will have speakers.
We are so excited for Bill Yule's return and are eager to know what Bill's presentation topic will be. Deana Thomas, president of The Rhode Island Mycological Society will be back. New this year will be Nathan Wilson, creator of mushroomobserver.org.
We have new very special special guests this year!
Arleen and Alan Bessette, authors of well over 30 mushroom identification books will be here to present on some very interesting topics! It is an honor to have all of them at camp!! If you have their books bring them with you.
There is a great room with fieldstone fireplace for gathering. Outside is a large fire pit if the weathers allows. BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS!
The WFC property is over 400 acres and includes a beautiful lake, hills, and trails. We intend to take full advantage of the property's trails for our forays. I, for one, am excited to see what we find there in peak mushroom season.
Your registration fee will include two nights lodging plus 5 meals. Speaking of meals, all your meals will be prepared by Chefs Russ Zito and Matt Britt, culinary professors at Johnson and Wales! Many of the meals will incorporate locally foraged ingredients!
