Half Term Fun - Brush Making 101

Traditional Brush Making Workshop for Children

This hands-on half-term workshop introduces children to the traditional craft of brush making, combining simple woodwork with wire binding techniques.

In the session, children will:

• Drill holes into a wooden handle using a drill press (supervised at all times)
• Thread and weave wire through the drilled holes to secure the bristles
• Take home a handmade brush they’ve created themselves

The workshop encourages creativity, focus, and practical skills in a fun and safe environment.

Who is it for?
Children aged 7 - 12 years old who enjoy making and crafting. No prior experience required. All children need to be supervised by an adult.

All materials, tools, and guidance provided.

Format: Drop in anytime during the session, but there may be a short wait if it’s busy.
