Join us this February for three fun, hands-on afterschool programs designed especially for students in grades 3–5. Each program starts at 1:30 PM and is part of our early release Wednesdays. All supplies and snacks are provided.
February 11 - World Breads & Spreads
Kids will sample a variety of breads and explore both sweet and savory toppings from around the world. We’ll compare flavors and textures, talk about how food connects to culture and geography, and vote on our favorites in this calm, curiosity-driven tasting program.
February 18 - Mini Museum: Make & Curate
Turn the library into a museum for the afternoon! Participants will create a small piece of art or an “artifact,” then write a real museum-style label explaining what it is, how it was made, and why it matters. We’ll display everyone’s work together as a pop-up mini exhibit inside the library.
February 25 - Books, Cocoa & Winter Art
Settle in for a cozy afternoon of book sharing, hot cocoa, and winter-inspired art. Kids will talk about what they’re reading and then create seasonal artwork using winter colors, textures, and themes in a relaxed studio-style setting.
