With all the modern technology and GPS today, it is rare to truly be able to read a map and a compass. Wayfinding is a true skill that has slowly been lost to time. The truth is that it is one of the most useful skills to use while exploring or traveling, especially in a new place. Join Ross County Park District and learn how to find your bearings and figure out where you are going without your phone or GPS! If you have a compass, please bring one. RCPD will have some to lend out as well as maps of the area. Wear your hiking shoes and be prepared to do some light bush whacking (walking through uncut trail and brush). Meet in the parking lot near the kiosk and be ready to get lost and then found!
