On January 14th the Pioneer Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is excited to host Guest Speaker Ethan A. Rutledge who will be talking about Bioaccumulation of Mercury in Trout and Salmon: Additive and Interactive Effects of Environmental Change.

Ethan A. Rutledge is a fisheries ecologist and recent Ph.D. graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where his dissertation examined how climate-driven changes in temperature, growth, and food-web processes influence mercury (Hg) bioaccumulation in brook trout and Atlantic salmon across the Northeastern United States. His research integrates controlled laboratory experiments, regional stream surveys, and environmental chemistry to understand how cold-water fish respond to interacting ecological stressors.

Our meetings start at 7 o’clock, and the presentation at 7:30.
You don’t have to be a Trout Unlimited member to attend the presentation.
