Get ready to deck the halls (and your gingerbread) for Chico’s newest and sweetest holiday tradition!
First-time bakers and seasoned gingerbread architects submitted their creative gingerbread house designs in November and now it is time to appreciate and admire their hard work!
All gingerbread houses will be dropped off at monca on Friday, December 5th.
Completed gingerbread houses will be on display at the museum starting Friday, December 5th until Friday, December 19th. A small gingerbread-themed art project will be available during the viewing period to make your visit extra fun!
When you visit the museum to check out the gingerbread houses, make sure to vote for your favorite design by writing down the participant's name on a slip to place in an official voting box at the front desk. Whichever design gets the most votes by the public will win the "People's Choice" award! Visitors may only vote once.
A panel of local judges will select "Best in Category" and "Best Overall." All awards will be presented during the culminating celebration and ceremony on Saturday, December 20th from 3-4PM.
All participants can take home their gingerbread houses after the closing reception. Remaining houses not picked up by the designated time on December 21, 2025 will be discarded.
