Volunteer with MeasureCamp and SparkShop!

Come join the MeasureCamp community in volunteering with SparkShop! Your favorite unconference is back with a fun opportunity to get involved with fellow analytics-minded individuals. A whole year is a long time to go between MeasureCamp events, and so we will be organizing a series of smaller events throughout the year that focus on the community.

For our first community-oriented event, we are partnering with SparkShop, a Chicago nonprofit on a mission to inspire and mobilize the next generation of engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and manufacturing geniuses. They provide teachers at over 50 Chicago schools with free lesson plans, training, and materials that ignite a passion for STEM in 4th and 5th graders, targeting their programming to schools with students who are underrepresented in STEM on the basis of race, gender, and socioeconomic status.

Assembling these materials takes time and effort, and SparkShop relies on volunteers every month to help ensure that they can deliver these kits to students. We are looking for up to 20 volunteers join the MeasureCamp Chicago volunteer staff to assemble as many kits as we can before enjoying some free food and drinks provided by MeasureCamp.
